Hanna and I have had a long journey, traveling from Tatacoa, in the middle of Colombia about 1000km as the crow flies, to the Caribbean coast, in the city of Riohacha. It took us two full days, from morning to very late evening, so there isn't much to tell. Riohacha is a nice beach town, less touristy than many other cities on the Caribbean coast, but there are still plenty of people here. The majority are Colombians, and this is their prime time to travel since the kids have holidays until late January, so there are many families around. Some bus tickets have also doubled in price.
Anyway, the beach here is really nice.
Since I always carry my hammock with me, I asked the lifeguards if I could hang it under their house (pictured above), but it's all part of the emergency zone. When I told them that I was in an emergency to set up my hammock, they just laughed. I don't think they understood the importance of the situation?!
But there are some palm trees closer to the street, so I managed to use it 👍
The sunset here is also beautiful.
Hanna and I are both a bit tired of the amount of meat, plantains, and chicken, so we bought our own vegetables, cooked some rice, and ate it with avocados. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was great for us.
There is no other big news. We might embark on an amazing journey tomorrow, probably without WiFi for 4 days, but then we will have some awesome stories to tell!
So far, love and peace,
Laurin
