The Lion of BelfortAfter an early breakfast at the church accommodation, we started at 8 am. The Lion of Belfort commemorates the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. Long walk through Belfort, with a beautiful park as a farewell.Watch out for the lightest hiking poles in the world😊The Chapel of Notre-Dame du Voeu finally shows the real distances🙄😢👍Old city walls everywhere. Reliable signposts everywhere😊😊 I was already near Hericourt at 12 o'clock, so I could afford a coffee: Héricourt used to belong to Württemberg, but there is not much to see, all churches are closed. I arrive at Daniel and Colette Robert's at 5 pm, an old forge, cozy with a farm atmosphere. It was a very nice day, I walked well with Hans and Gaby from Bretten, in the evening 3 women from Augsburg join us, Daniel shows us his oyster mushroom farm.
