Yesterday morning we left Klätten near Arvika again, smaller roads with frequent views of the beautiful lakes and through forests - of course with hills. We had been advised to drive through the Glaskogen area (nature park), and in this direction the hills gradually turned into mountains. The weather was changeable, at least we didn't have to ride in rain gear all the time.
When we stopped for our lunch break in the early afternoon at the central info point with campsite, we decided to stay there, especially since the weather was supposed to get worse. So on the one hand we had nice Sunday afternoon waffles with ice cream and berries, and on the other hand a modest dinner in the evening: the last soup with semolina dumplings and soup noodles.
The night was quite cold and rainy, but we stayed dry because we had put our groundsheet over the tent to prevent the rain from dripping through (although we don't know why it was leaking).

By morning, the rain had stopped, so after shivering during breakfast, we were able to pack relatively dry. We headed straight for an unpaved Swedish road with many, many ups and downs: steep mountains with gradients of up to 12%. We fought our way through the first 17 km there, with various breaks and pushing sequences. What a relief it was to ride on a nice paved road again afterwards! In Årjäng, we treated ourselves to an extensive break and then continued on the road through many hills to Gustavsfors, where one of the Dalsland locks is located.
