My luck with the free day has been rather unsuccessful so far: rain, rain, and fog. Yesterday was no exception. Except that this time the rain was part of a typhoon :) But it wasn't as intense as in southern Japan. Just a little more rain and wind. And oddly enough, cold and warm at the same time. Or maybe I'm going through menopause :D
So my destination was Gora Park, which is also located in Hakone. As soon as I got off the train, it started raining immediately. But I was prepared (just a little worried about my camera :P). The park itself is located on a slope, like everything else in Hakone, and has a beautiful tea house hidden among stones, stairs, and greenery. And you had a breathtaking view of rain clouds ;) And near the park, there is a restaurant that serves delicious Japanese curry with a schnitzel on top (called "katsukare" in Japanese) :P
