Tag 79 - Free Market Economy

Publicatu: 22.01.2018

When you stroll through the local market, you always discover something new. And you can easily get lost. The stalls are so tight that you feel like you're inside somewhere and not outside. And more or less in the middle, there is an ancient, run-down market building. The stands with fish and meat are a bit disgusting. The goods are mostly offered on old wooden tables without cooling, which, when cleaned, are scrubbed with tap water and undefined cleaning rags.

There are small food stalls at all possible and impossible places in the market, sometimes barely 3 or 4 square meters in size. Old car rims are converted into grills. You eat standing up or on plastic garden chairs. The dishes and cutlery are either disposable or a colorful mix. So it can happen that you get an Ice Age or Batman plate. You can eat well, a lot, and very cheaply here. As long as it's well done.

On one of the streets leading to the market, open-air shoemaking workshops have settled. Here, every shoe and every bag is repaired. I have also once left a very cheaply purchased sandal here that gave up the ghost immediately. It wasn't particularly elegant, but it was durable. It wouldn't surprise me if one or the other Singer sewing machine was among them. In the evening, they pack everything up and transport it on a handcart.
