We are enjoying beautiful weather again with around 20 degrees and decide to take advantage of it by going to Blanes.
Blanes is a town with 40,579 residents (as of January 1, 2022) located at the southern end of Costa Brava, right at the mouth of the Tordera River, and about 60 kilometers northeast of Barcelona. Blanes is considered the gateway to Costa Brava.
The old town (Casco Antiguo) of Blanes is a mix of narrow streets, charming squares, and historical buildings. It has a relaxed atmosphere, enhanced by traditional houses and family-run shops. While walking through this area, one encounters cozy tapas bars and cafés that reflect the local life. The old town is perfect for experiencing the serenity and charm of a Catalan coastal town.
