Presumably, some of you have already noticed that there are quite a few waterfalls here in Norway. From short to long, from narrow to wide, and/or everything in combination. If you do some research, you won't find any exact information about the number of waterfalls in Norway. However, you will find information that 9 of the 20 highest waterfalls in the world are said to be located in Norway. Many of them plunge down the mountain slopes of fjord Norway. Some of them are not clear where they come from or how they are formed, as most of them rush out of a mountain.

Some and especially noteworthy waterfalls have been given names and a viewpoint or are located in nature reserves/national parks. Some of them also have the history of their formation.

We were able to visit some waterfalls by chance during our trip. By the way, these are usually the most beautiful ones, as they have a natural and untouched course and therefore appear even more impressive. Of course, we also couldn't resist visiting two waterfalls signposted for tourists. One of them has a path running along it, so we could also view it from a different perspective.

What we noticed that all these waterfalls have in common is the inexplicable force of nature and the question of where all this water comes from and where it goes.
