Despite the early sunrise, it was difficult to get warm. A thin film of water lay over everything. By 8 o'clock, the sun was strong enough and I cooked myself some müsli with chocolate drink. Sugar is known to warm from the inside. The morning was beautifully quiet and calm. The first 40km of cycling were also. Then the first clouds appeared and as I drove out of one of the tunnels, it started pouring rain and storming terribly. I continued for the next 65km through the rain, wind, and fog. I stopped when it let up a bit and got 2 coffee on the house at a campsite reception.😊 It was very exhausting, mentally as well, but the good thing was that despite everything it didn't get really cold. Around half past 4, I reached the harbor completely soaked. The next ferry to Bodø was at 6 o'clock. I don't want to draw a conclusion about the Lofoten Islands, it would probably be unfair. I felt much more comfortable on the more northern islands Senja and Andøya.
Being happy to be on the ship, a certain discomfort arose due to the strong waves. Fatigue and wetness did the rest. The ferry also took 1 hour longer and I arrived at the hostel around 11:30pm. I spread everything out to dry, took a shower, and set my alarm so that I wouldn't miss check out.
