Chill day

Publicatu: 06.07.2023

Today we wanted to stay in the hotel and go snorkeling again. However, that quickly changed when we came for breakfast in the morning. Two days ago was a full moon, and it is customary here for the tide to come in. All the sunbeds, tables, and chairs were in the water. Two waiters gradually moved the furniture onto the terrace. We didn't hesitate and helped them. Many hands make light work. I think they thanked us 8 times. In the evening, the owner also approached us and thanked us for helping the two guys.

As I said, snorkeling was out of the question for us. We sat at our favorite spot on the terrace, had breakfast, and enjoyed the day. In the meantime, I worked on planning my birthday tour, and Rainer was surfing the internet. It was a very relaxed day. Afternoon, we took a nap because the previous day was very long. We needed to catch up on sleep. In the evening, we went to a Warung nearby. We had an excellent Mahi Mahi fish there. The fish tasted like chicken, was quite thick and juicy. It was served with a special slightly warm salad and rice. For dessert, Rainer chose a black rice pudding with bananas for us. The drink list was as follows: 2 iced teas, 1 Balinese coffee, 1 still water, 1 Radler, and 1 Mojito. The bill, including the tip, came to 18€. In Bali, tipping is always added 10 or 15% of the bill. The fish cost 3€ per person. It is truly a pleasure to eat out here, not just because of the taste. Later, we went back to our hotel and had a nightcap.

Tomorrow, we are going to Lovina with Kadek's cousin. There, we will visit two friends that we met 3.5 years ago. One of them knows that we are coming, the other one doesn't. I'm curious to see how the day will turn out🤣🤣.
