We have now had challenging days in Chiang Mai. Merle had fever, especially in the evening, and her molar tooth or teeth (?) caused her a lot of trouble. Otherwise, she was symptom-free - that's why we waited. On the penultimate day in Chiang Mai, we finally went to the hospital, which was very stressful for the three of us - especially Merle cried a lot there and the blood test was unfortunately difficult and took too long, the nurses were five (!) and couldn't handle it well. The doctor was okay, then we received an antibiotic and a bill for 3000 baht (about 90€), which is not much for a private hospital (what would that cost in Austria..?).
Despite everything, we got a good impression of Chiang Mai. It is a nice city - unfortunately, we didn't see much of the surroundings, which are very beautiful - we will explore that next time! At least we made it to the zoo. :-)
Next stop: Tourist hotspot Krabi/Ao Nang.
