Finally a restful night! I woke up briefly once, but slept very well until 8:30. And despite a moderate, healthy breakfast, I fell asleep twice by the pool today.
For the second semi-final match in the afternoon (Brazil-Turkey 1:0) there is excellent penne e mezzo penne con peperone e zucchine. And straight back to the pool.
This morning the weather was a little cloudy for the first time and below 30°C. Now the worst of the heat has gone and it is no longer so oppressively humid. In the late afternoon new guests come to the pool. Oh my god! Bubble-gum Americans! Terrible people. At least they don't stay long.
I go back to our apartment and see if the food is ready. Nothing is done. But there is prosciutto e melon and spaghetti con pancetta e ruccola. That's basically spaghetti carbonara according to Il magnifico cuoco Illungo's interpretation.
This evening the focus is once again on the starry sky and astronomy. Unfortunately, the ISS is not visible this year and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) will not appear as announced on the Internet. So all we have left is the Big Dipper, a few speeding satellites and a few shooting stars.
This encourages deep conversations about existence and a few fireflies blink. The waning moon stands deep yellow over sleeping Tuscany. A quiet, contemplative evening comes to an end after midnight.
