One of the least rainy and hottest areas in Spain is the Sierra de Tabernas. A landscape that is lonely, rocky, barren, and with a unique structural pattern.
About 30 years ago, the Spaghetti Western directors Sergio Leone + Co discovered this and filmed all their movies here, such as 'Once Upon a Time in the West' or 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'. But also 'The Shoe of Manitou' and other Western movies were made here.
Of course, there are still individual well-known buildings from these movies, as well as a whole Western town.
Of course, there is also a real 'bad guys show'.
We spent a day in this environment, driving on the dusty deserted tracks in the vast landscape and as a fan of Sergio Leone, Louis also wanted to see the buildings. Of course, we didn't want to miss the dusty 'bad guys show' either, so we drove to 'Fort Bravo', which is located on the edge of this landscape and is a tourist attraction.
