50 degrees under a clear blue sky

This morning we said goodbye to the city of superlatives, Las Vegas, heading north. After about half an hour, the landscape gradually became more barren and it got hotter and hotter.

We approached Death Valley.

We already had to record one victim due to the heat, so the place has already lived up to its name ;) Because of the heat, we had to leave Vivien in the car during the march through the salt landscape of Bad Water.

But even the rest of us got quite out of breath at 49 degrees. I was all the more happy when we could check into the well-tempered hotel room. Now it's time to relax.
