The great bike tour Day 9: Wet weather in the Isar Valley

All weather reports agree, it's going to be wet today. Too bad, I would have liked to lay down on one of the gravel banks at the Isar, chill and enjoy the panorama of the Bavarian Prealps. But that's not possible today - a bike tour is not a vacation in the Maldives.

After a cozy breakfast at my friend Brigitte and her family in Wolfratshausen, I even start in the dry. After 12 km it starts to drizzle, after 15 km it rains heavily. But I don't let that spoil my mood, I was prepared for it. I have been to the Isar Valley many times in my childhood and paddled there with P in recent years, it's very familiar to me, I like it here.

In the early afternoon, I reach my destination for the day and spend the afternoon comfortably with tea and tour planning, listening to the rain pouring on the roof, I even take my book out of the plastic bag (rain cover) and read.
