3rd day glacier tour by boat

And off we go again to the impressive glaciers, but today by boat. We got to see the Upsala Glacier, which doesn't go all the way into the water, the Spegazzini Glacier, and once again the Perito Moreno Glacier, which by the way is one of the few glaciers that is still growing, or rather not getting smaller... There was also a short land excursion from the boat to a hut of a Finnish person, who lived here with his family from 1990 for 6 years and tried to capture and sell the wild cows and horses on the mainland. The national park has a huge problem with the wild cows, horses, and sheep, which trample and eat everything, there are about 50,000 of them and such a farmer catches about 150 in a year, so it's a never-ending story. But there are estancias here whose gauchos are only occupied with that and the rangers also shoot the cows, although they are already so shy that they hardly catch them....

Afterwards, there was glacier ice on the boat that was fished out of the water and could be licked or ended up as ice in a drink, the children were totally fascinated:)

In the evening we found a nice little café in El Calafate, where we got a spectacular dinner with guanaco ham and glazed chicken and chocolate fondue for dessert, simply delicious!
