6:00 am! All alarms awake! Jetlag is back!

The advantage, of course, is that you still have the whole day ahead of you. The disadvantage is that the beautiful farm shops at the rest areas are unfortunately still closed.

On the rest areas there are information centers with free Wi-Fi, where brochures of attractions in the area are available. Fortunately, they are always open. This was especially good in winter, as they are heated. Heike always finds brochures very interesting. There, Heike looks at the pictures, she can't read Japanese, and what she likes the most is then visited. Even if it means that we have to drive back for half an hour. So Heike found two brochures with pictures of flower parks. Since the directions to the parks are also written in Japanese, it took us about 5 minutes with Google translation to understand roughly where they should be. But since we were still not sure, we went to an employee in a supermarket and asked for directions. And so we decided to go to a flower exhibition. At the ticket booth we were used to in other countries that foreigners have to pay more admission. But it's different in Japan. After we showed our ID cards (first we didn't understand why we should do that) we only had to pay half the price. We love Japan!

Afterwards we went straight to the small train that should take us through the flower exhibition. The journey here was really worth it! All the flowers were arranged beautifully and bloomed in magnificent colors.

Afterwards we wanted to make progress again. On the way through smaller villages we were presented with a wonderful landscape. Again and again we saw cherry trees in full bloom, but also rugged coastlines and magnificent trees. Although we drove for quite a long time, it never got boring because there is always something to admire.

In the evening we arrived at our rest area. There we had a delicious dinner and went to bed tired.
