Today, we planned on exploring the island of Koh Lanta with a motorbike. After stocking up on a delicious Indonesian breakfast, we headed south from our hostel on the west coast of the island. Koh Lanta is quite large, it takes a while to drive, but the road along the coast passes through small beach towns or the local jungle, making it fun to just ride along.
At the very southern end of the island, we stopped at Bamboo Bay and enjoyed the atmosphere with a short visit to the sea, as the sun did not dare to come out too much yet.
Since the road did not continue here, we had to drive a bit back up the west coast to switch to the east side of the island. Once we were on the other side, we headed south again to a rocky cliff beach, which was very impressive due to its colors and shapes, and invited us to a game of Rummy. The sun also reappeared and warmed the stones and our faces.
After spending some time there, we headed north along the east coast until we reached the northern end of the island, which took about half an hour. In between, we stopped at the Old Town of Koh Lanta, an original street with beautiful houses that now mainly house cafes and small shops for tourists.
Arriving in the north, it was already dark, but since the largest village on Koh Lanta was located there, it was nice to walk along the streets by the sea. You could admire the cozy and pretty restaurants that lined up there, and also stop by for a typical Thai dish with fried basil and meat.

Speaking of food: tomorrow we have the next cooking class. After the Vietnamese one, we now switch to Thai in order to get insights into the food culture here - we are already very excited.
In the evening, we played a board game with the Americans again, this time it was Risk, but it was already quite late and we quickly got tired, so the quest for world domination had to be postponed until tomorrow.
