Another day at Kangaroo Island started with some rain in the morning, so we decided to have a relaxed start, waiting for all the rain to stop. So around midday it was time to have a look around at the campground and say hello to all the koalas. In the afternoon we wanted to go looking for platypus in the Flinders Chase National Park. Unfortunately, we discovered that all the other sights, walkways, detours, etc. that were previously open to the public have been closed and are not reopened. As there were signs with high fines and cameras on the remaining path, we decided it is not worth to walk on, but we were pretty disappointed to pay National Park entry fees for another day although most of the sights are closed and there was no information online available about all these closures.
So with no possibility to see any platypus, we drove back to the campground and spent the day watching wildlife there: mostly koalas but there were also birds such as Galahs and kangaroos.
