Tag 8 - again light at the end

Gipatik: 30.07.2017

Both the Maze and Line teams show once again what they are actually capable of. However, unfortunately, it is only enough for places in the back. The tasks for the team competition are very challenging. The Zeltweg team has sat down with the Mexicans with smoking heads and is trying to find a solution. There are problems with communication with the Hungarians. In the team, there is only one person who speaks English reasonably well and even their mentor cannot. They need an interpreter time and again. Basically, the idea is that both robots must solve a problem together, which is only possible with the use of communication among themselves. In addition, the Hungarians are stressing out. They want to program both programs and ours should only press the start button. They did the same thing last year and became world champions. This approach is not acceptable to us. There is a lot of tension in the air.

However, the Zeltweg team cooperates well with the Mexicans and gets along splendidly. That is the actual idea of the value competition.

Today we also met the mentors from Kepler (Soccer) and Nenzing (On Stage). It seems to have gone better for their teams.

One thing I noticed is that the organization and discipline in the subways is perfect. There are separate entry zones for each door

and the subway station plan is simple and very vivid. Maybe people who have trouble visualizing in 3D have a problem, but I think it's simply ingenious.

The rest of the afternoon was spent programming for the Super Team Competition and it dragged on for us. Let's see what tomorrow will bring.
