Day 21 - 10.07.2024 Pacific Rim National Park

Today it was about 10 degrees cooler in Port Alberni, but still very warm at 28 degrees. We wanted to go to the Pacific Rim National Park and I thought maybe we could also go swimming at the beach....however, I didn't check the weather there and packed the swimwear in vain, because it was another 10 degrees cooler there and quite cool at 18 degrees ;-)

In the Pacific Rim National Park, we did five shorter hikes:

1. Ancient Cedars Loop
2. Halfmoon Bay Trail
3. South Bay Trail
4. Bog Trail
5. Rainforest Trail

In the end, the girls were pretty tired.

The nature was wonderful. We saw many very old and thick trees. Especially in the Ancient Cedar and in the rainforest. At Halfmoon Bay, we were able to relax wonderfully. Hardly any people there, great sandy beach, and a nice walk by the sea. We also saw washed up crabs and shells, especially very extraordinary...however, the girls were unfortunately not allowed to take them.

Before the 1.5-hour drive back, we had dinner at the family restaurant Howler's in Ucluelet.
