Jungle to touch

Gipatik: 01.04.2019

So much was planned for today, but we couldn't really agree on what it should ultimately be. So we decided on the Jungle Garden in Sarasota.

The whole facility reminds of a small, artificially created jungle that you can navigate through without a machete.

The Jungle Garden is basically a kind of small zoo with animals that can actually be found in the wild in Florida. One of the main attractions is flamingos, which live there in a small lake and can be fed by visitors.

A truly extraordinary experience when you can experience these animals up close in the middle of it. Feeding the animals felt very funny when they tried to nibble on the food with their curved beaks.

These flamingos live together like a small family, which sometimes can lead to quarrels.

My little Samaritan appeased the quarreling and chattering flamingos with some food. How calculating... 😏

Since we were a bit late, we could only see a small reptile show, but towards the end we were allowed to touch a young crocodile.

The little rascal named Sleepy Pete peed on the animal caretaker during the show 😂 For those who want to know how it felt: it was strangely cool and rough. 😯

You could even get close to peacocks, and I was able to make one show off its beauty in all its glory.

In another area of the Jungle Gardens, you could have parrots sit on your arm. You would be asked about the desired size of the bird beforehand. Small, Medium, or Large? Of course, I'll go for a large one 😁

Even conversations from equal to equal were possible... 😄
After this animal pleasure, we then returned to Jochen and Elena and refreshed ourselves in the pool, ending the evening with a shared dinner, a bottle of wine, and a romantic view of the stars.
