Venezia

Gipatik: 13.08.2021

From the campsite you can easily reach Venice by bus or train. And since using public transportation in Italy has become routine for us, we quickly hop on a bus to Venice for €2.80 in just 30 minutes.

A dream !!!!
.... One of many....
.... One of many canals....

Venice is stunningly beautiful, with all its narrow streets, shops, canals, and the beautiful old and dilapidated houses with Venetian windows.....one can't get enough of it.

St. Mark
St. Mark's Basilica
And YES!!!! Of course, we allow ourselves to be persuaded by one of the countless attractive gondoliers and take a gondola ride on the Grand Canal (although our gondolier is unfortunately not the most attractive or talkative...) It is amazing how, with so many gondolas and narrow streets, none of them collide.
The only thing that is really hard to bear is the unbearable heat of 33°C !!! But that's complaining at a high level....after all, everyone is in the same boat!
And we
And we're right in the middle
St. Mark's Square with St. Mark's Basilica

After the gondola ride, we continue across the Rialto Bridge into one of the many streets of Venice, because there is always a turn that leads us to new unknown streets and squares. We are increasingly amazed by this little town and always say, 'On the way back, let's go this way again!'... knowing full well that we will never find this way back again.
