Krabi & Koh Lanta

Our next destination was Krabi and the minibus on the way was once again very packed, so I just slept on the backpacks.

One day, we rode the scooter to Ao Nang, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to take a boat to Railay Beach. Instead, we were able to explore the area and enjoy the view of the rocky surroundings.

After that, we continued to Koh Lanta, a beautiful and peaceful island. We visited different small towns including Lanta Old Town and drove to secluded beaches. Koh Lanta, it seemed, is not yet very touristy and therefore very quiet. We also visited "Lanta Animal Welfare," which takes care of injured and abandoned dogs and cats. We would have loved to adopt a few dogs and take them home. During our scooter ride towards the island's national park, we saw some monkeys playing on the side of the road. However, we didn't make it to the national park because we forgot to fill up the tank.

We really liked Koh Lanta, but we could already feel the upcoming rainy season on the western side of Thailand. Nevertheless, we had a few great days :)
