It's 5:58 on Sunday morning, July 23. I'm already sitting on the provided IC train to join my friends, Marie and Flo, in Wiesbaden. The plan is to explore parts of the North American continent by air and road for the next four weeks. Our trip, which has been planned for a long time, is finally starting on Tuesday, with Vancouver BC being our first stop.

What you will read here is a travel blog. I will try to capture my impressions and illustrate them with pictures. It will also serve as a diary for myself, and I'm curious to see how consistent I will be with updating it.

Allow me to briefly explain who the three of us are and how this journey came about.

My name is Cedric, I'm 22 years old and a student in Budapest. One of my travel companions is Florian, who has been one of my best friends for over eight years. He has been together with his girlfriend Marie for more than six years. The three of us went on our first vacation together in 2013, and the name of this blog is derived from that trip. Aldiana has always been a great highlight for Flo, Marie, and me in consecutive years.

However, this year we wanted to turn our backs on the club holiday and experience our own adventure. You will read about it in the coming weeks.
