Day 7: Meknes

প্রকাশিত হয়েছে: 30.03.2018

Meknes is a city with approximately 600,000 inhabitants in northern Morocco. The entire old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
The city is located in one of the most agriculturally productive areas of Morocco, which makes it an important hub for agricultural products, trade, and crafts. Meknes is one of the four royal cities of Morocco (Fes, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat).

Compared to the previous royal cities, especially in contrast to Fes, Meknes is rather quiet and has fewer sights, mosques, etc. The Medina is more expansive without donkeys and horses and has some roads for cars as well.
