Hey! I'm a bit behind with my blog entries. đ But here's a little update from a week ago. đ
Last week Monday was Memorial Day in America! đēđ¸ The ranch also had an open day. If you wanted to get to know the ranch and find out about the events and camps, this was the place to be. đ There were a lot of things on offer. For example, climbing the climbing wall, pony rides, horseback riding, the trust course in the woods... You could even see a shooting demonstration on horseback. All the students helped out in various ways to be there for all the families. âēī¸
At the beginning of the day, there was also a 5-kilometer race for those who wanted to. đ I helped film this race, which we needed for the video that we hope to upload soon. The video will give you a little insight into the day! đ During my trip to the woods, I even came across some little forest animals! đ
While I was sitting in the media room and working on the video, I saw something move behind the couch. đ A chipmunk had climbed in through the window and apparently couldn't get out. So after about 20 minutes or so, we caught it. đ
On another day, some students helped clean up the road from trash. It was really necessary. đ So we got red warning vests and were able to get started. We collected quite a lot! đ
Sometimes we media students help out my boss. Some of the ranch employees are members of the fire department, so we helped wash the local fire trucks. It was even a little fun. ;)
Then there was another wedding that I was invited to. đ It's always nice to be part of something like that. Afterward, some of us went for ice cream. It was a bit warmer that day. đ
In the following days, we went to Saw Mill Beach in Erie to cool off. Almost all of the students came along! Once the summer camps officially start, we won't have as much time for trips like this. đĨš
I'm telling you: Three more months, and I'll be back in Germany! Time is flying by! đ I can already tell you that I'm currently in the application process for various universities in Germany. I would really like to know what I'll be doing next. đ
Get ready for my next blog post! It's going to be a bit longer because it's the first time I've taken a vacation in the US all by myself. I didn't have anyone by my side, but read for yourself! đ
I'll see you in the next post! đ
