Norway trip May 26-June 17, 2022 / June 7

Today we continue towards Helgelandskyste. A particularly beautiful and impressive diverse landscape. Our first stage takes us from Misvaer to Stokkvägen. We use two small car ferries there. Forey-Ägskardet 7.2 km and Jektivik-Kilboghamn 19.0 km. This is again a simple matter, just set it at the corresponding sign and off we go. The smaller ferries mostly operate about every half or hourly interval. Today gives us a glimpse of the beautiful landscape that awaits us on the coast. The Norwegian Scenic Route Helgelandskysten runs between Godoystraumen and Holm with a detour to Torghatten. There are several ferry crossings on this route. The Norwegian Scenic Route Helgelandskysten is part of the well-known Kystriksveien, the coastal road 17 from Steinkjier to Bodo. The road runs along the coast and gradually changes its character from the long mountain ranges in the north to fjords and mountains and then to a calmer nature with archipelagos and islands further out to sea. In the early evening, we reach our accommodation in Stokkvägen, then we go shopping in nearby Utskarpen. On the way there, we can observe a male moose up close. We can take photos and videos for about fifteen minutes and he doesn't mind. Unusual for moose, which are usually shy animals. Such a great experience, like winning the lottery. We enjoy the evening in the sunshine.
