In the morning we get on the bus towards Ha Long Bay, the journey takes three hours and I like Vietnam much better outside of Hanoi. The cities are pretty and the houses are colorful. Our guide Cong is super funny and is perfectly organized. We are on our boat at 1:00 p.m., one of the last 16 wooden ships in HaLong Bay. There are a total of 1000 shipsâ€Ļ

We get a delicious lunch and an amazing cabin with two large windows on each side... a 180 degree sea view. Greatâ€Ļ then a little canoe tour. The evening program is also very nice, so you get to know all 20 fellow travelers a little. We have Canadians, Norwegians, Indians as well as two boys from Mexico and a family with three small children from Denmark with a board. The next morning at sunrise at 6:30 I do Tai Chi with Cong and three others... so wonderfully quiet everywhere. Then we drive a bit through the bay and explore a cave. Unfortunately, after making your own summer rolls and having lunch, you have to go back. Two really nice days...
