When the soul learned to relax

First day of travel in New Zealand or is it called in New Zealand. It's raining.

The perfect weather for traveling. 181 km south to Te Anau.

2 hours through breathtaking landscapes. It reminds me a little bit of the Scottish Highlands,

except that here the road is wider and not framed by walls.

The road runs right along Lake Wakatipu.

Mountains that reach into the lake.

Past bare rock formations. After the next bends, the landscape changes.

The valley widens, the lake is behind us. Past meadows, huge pastures with sheep, cows, and deer.

In New Zealand, there are over 2,000 deer breeding farms. Germany is the largest customer with 6,000 tons annually. It's a dream, enjoying the venison goulash, closed from home 12-pointer.

After 2 1/2 hours, we reach Te Anau. A small town in the Southland region with approximately 2,000 inhabitants. Economically, the town thrives on tourists and agriculture.

A great accommodation welcomes us.

It's a great place to stay, isn't it?

Just enjoy the view and let your soul relax.

And the coolest thing is, there's a frisbee golf course right next door. Like on PlayStation. Super cool. Of course, we tried it right away.

But the frisbees were rubbish. Mine always flew to the right. Well, "flew" is an exaggeration.

I told Carsten right away that I can't do it. The result, with 41 over par, confirms this. But we're here for 3 days, so there's plenty of time to practice.

For me, the Olympic motto counts: "participating is everything". It was definitely fun.
