Star and artist supporters at Rochford Wines

A bɔra kɛnɛ kan: 20.12.2017

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening, my dear friends. You have eagerly waited, puzzled, and worried about what has happened here in the last few weeks. And yes, a lot has happened. After leaving Melbourne, as planned, we found a job at a winery. Rochford Wines is one of the largest and undoubtedly most popular wineries in the Yarra Valley, the wine region of Australia. And it is also frequently used as a location for first-class concerts.

We worked there for a total of 5 weeks in various areas. The weekends, when there was almost always a festival or concert, turned out to be particularly lucrative. Work shifts with up to 25 hours of continuous work were no longer a surprise to us in the end. Unfortunately, our work was closely related to a lot of waste. As part of the concerts, we were tasked with ensuring that they did not sink under the rubbish left by the thirsty guests, and thus we became the coolest garbage collectors in the area.

But we also made ourselves quite useful in other ways. After days of frustrating work in the vineyards with thousands of flies that almost drove us insane, we enjoyed some relaxing days preparing the events. Operating a forklift quickly became second nature, and we had a lot of fun overall. Not to mention, we earned quite a good amount of money. The consistently relaxed employees made the work quite pleasant.

At the end of the 5 weeks, we had had enough of working for now. From now on, we are heading towards Sydney with a little bit of capital. But there is still a long way to go until then, and we will probably see a lot on the way. More about that soon.

Until then, stay strong. We'll catch up later.
