Back to Bike: BAVS Day 4

Nothing holds me at the Schliersee campsite, I make sure to pack up my wet tent and get going.

Today will be long, that's for sure. Schliersee, Tegernsee, Riegsee, Staffelsee and a few more puddles, ponds and pools in between. Going from beer garden to beer garden is not really an option, the route is too ambitious for that. But it's beautiful, I really enjoy being here in my homeland, cycling along all the familiar roads and exploring unknown corners: Gmund am Tegernsee, Bad Tölz, Murnau, Bayersoiern, Rottenbuch. Childhood memories of my father, who took countless trips with me from Munich. Maybe this bike tour is some kind of farewell to him, he will soon die of cancer, but at 85 years old, that's okay.
