Chinese New Year Flower Market

A bɔra kɛnɛ kan: 30.01.2017

To get into the Chinese New Year spirit, it is apparently tradition to visit the Flower Market, which takes place the week before Chinese New Year. Even though it's called a flower market, there is much more than just flowers - stuffed animals and pillows galore, squishy Chinese specialties (which I tried almost all of and they were all equally terrible), and a few other things like ham or towels. Anyway, my buddy took me with his friends to show me the market and it was incredibly crowded o.O but also cool to experience something like this :)

The day before, we also had a meeting with the German Chinese Association from the university. It was so much fun to talk to the locals and we also learned a lot about Chinese New Year, how it is almost like 'Christmas' and everyone goes to visit their families, and you receive red envelopes with pocket money from everyone. Everyone was excited about that ;) Here are my two group shots. I got cut off in the team photo ;(
