What another new entry? I am surprised myself, but soon my mother is coming for four days, which I am very very excited about and then I will definitely not have time to post anything new.

In Germany, I had no problem doing absolutely nothing on a weekend, I just chilled all day, maybe studied a little math and that's it. Here, I can't remember the last time I really chilled a lot. This weekend was eventful again. During the week, I also went to a bar in Barcelona once to watch Barcelona vs Madrid. Although we were in Barcelona an hour before the game, it was really difficult to find a place in a bar. Normally, I'm not very interested in football, but when it's such an important game, I'm all fired up and find it very exciting. Dramatically, Madrid scored the first goal, but luckily it was offside. Although Madrid was the better team in my opinion, Barcelona won 1-0. Of course, everyone was very happy about that. We barely caught the last train and both got home at 01:00. We were also very tired on Friday, so we didn't go out again. Marie cooked a typical Syrian dish, which for me was basically just fancier fried potatoes. But it was delicious, of course.

On Saturday, we went to a kind of street food flea market, the Palo Alto Market Festival. When we went there, we got completely lost on the tram, even though I wasn't even responsible for Google Maps. I really liked the Market Fest. It was a bit overpriced, especially the food, but the site was huge and beautiful. You could buy second-hand clothes, sunglasses, bags, and jewelry. But they were very nice and high-quality second-hand items. They were accordingly expensive and we didn't buy anything. I fell in love with a hoodie from a small label, but unfortunately it cost 69€. Very sad. But the Aperol only cost 5€ and the lucky stone, which you bought blindly, only cost 1€. If I put it in my water, I'm probably fully and completely assimilated into the Waldorf mindset ;). After that, we met another friend in Barcelona City (Placa Catalunya) and went shopping a bit. In Premia de Mar, my friend Lotti and I went shopping. She is much more observant than I am, and I saw the Aldi, where we always go shopping, with completely different eyes. Among other things, we found apple strudels, which we both found very funny. Actually, we wanted to have a relaxed evening with pizza and cocktails. We had already bought everything for that. Surprisingly, my roommate came back earlier from Barcelona and then convinced us after a short discussion that the only logical consequence of this would be to go out now. So we quickly ate our pizza and drank our homemade strawberry daiquiris because the last train from Premia de Mar doesn't wait. We also incorporated some exercise because we ran to catch the train. When we arrived in Barcelona, we went to my regular bar, Bar Manchester. I just love the vibe there and the prices are really good. This time we went partying at Shoko Barcelona, another club on the beach. The club trio Opium, Pacha, and Shoko all operate in the same price range, and the three clubs are right next to each other on the beach. They all play exactly the same music, charts, and reggaeton, and operate on the same principle. Expensive entrance fee (15 to 25 euros depending on when and where you buy online or at the venue) with a free drink, and then 15 euros for cocktails if you feel the need to throw your money out the window. Towards the end, the music was very French-heavy because a French DJ was playing, which was a bit annoying. But when Quedate and Titi mi Pregunto came on, I was peaceful again. We drove home around 06:00, but neither Lotti nor I were tired. So Lotti made me the best buttered bread in the world, in German style, and we talked and mindlessly rated my TikTok "for you" page for ages. We went back to Barcelona at around 13:00 because we wanted to have brunch. We wanted to go to Gabby's Brunch, where we had been before, it is highly recommended. The decor is very aesthetic, just like the food. But unfortunately, the line was mega long, even though it was already late for brunch. So we went to eat burgers, it was very cheap, but not really tasty and the service was bad. Together, we chilled on a bench and enjoyed the sun. It was super nice to feel the sun on my face and relax. I was home around 18:00, tidied up, and then fell into bed and slept like a log, which I will do now too because I've been on the phone for too long again.
