Melbourne

In the past few days, I have been exploring Melbourne. Since I have a lot of free time at the moment, I often walk around. In doing so, I see many things that you would overlook on public transport. Melbourne itself is very beautiful and has a lot to offer. The beach at St. Kilda is very nice, and the harbor in the east of the city is also worth seeing. It exudes a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. This atmosphere is also captured by the many parks, such as the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The tall buildings in the downtown area convey a rather stressful, modern, and business-oriented atmosphere, which is the exact opposite. Like in any other big city, there are many disparities between the rich and the poor. You can see this quite clearly here. It is particularly noticeable in the shops. Here, there are many luxury brands and large branches of well-known brands, such as Hugo Boss, Adidas, Nike, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Lamborghini, Porsche, etc. But you can also find many "quirky" shops where you might prefer to quickly move on. But all in all, Melbourne is a colorful, lively city. There are many people out and about here, no matter how late it is. It can get quite crowded, especially in the evenings when many people like to go to restaurants and bars. There is always something happening in Melbourne.

The weather was a challenge for me in the first few days. I was not used to it being so cold. After I completely adjusted to the cold, it even became too warm sometimes. Apart from a slight cold, I am doing very well.
