12.9. Laukvik Hike

Partly cloudy, partly rain

Due to the weather, we spend the morning in our cozy apartment, planning the next destinations, searching for reasonably priced accommodations (under 100€), reading, eating...

When it gets a little brighter outside, we hike a round recommended by Therese past the cemetery and along the mountain range behind the village towards the sea.

From the cemetery, the path winds towards the mountain ridge, where we find our way to the sea.

At first, the path is clearly visible, later we have to climb a lot and it gets wetter.

We often come across small waterfalls, it doesn't get really bright, it stays slightly misty. This creates a mystical atmosphere that accompanies us through the forest.

In the evening, we sit together with Rob and Therese again, who explain to us how we can use a website with space weather data to determine when there are chances of northern lights. It's another very cozy and educational evening.
