I'm going to summarize this week a bit more compactly, as I spent a lot of time at the beach and needed some relaxation.
Monday: Well, what can I say, two days here and the French love me, they adore me (I'm referring to the mosquitoes, of course😊) they attack every little exposed part that accidentally peeks out from under the covers. Fortunately, I'm not the only one, everyone in my room looks the same. Off to the beach, cooling my feet.
Tuesday: The mosquitoes really got out of hand, I bought a can of anti-mosquito spray, it stinks terribly, but it really keeps them away. Unfortunately, the selection was very limited, I had more of an idea of a lemon-scented organic oil. Anyway, we had to reclaim our room, so we used whatever means necessary. Two girls (both French) from my room, with whom I occasionally sat together in the evenings, were overjoyed with my purchase. Before going to sleep, we practically showered with the stuff, as we were totally panicked about missing a spot.
Oh, during the day I wasn't lying on the beach, I took a long walk along the beach, which can be quite long, in principle I can walk to Spain along the beach. But you don't have to overdo it on vacation 😊.
Wednesday: Wednesday is always a big market right by the hostel. The one in Cassis was nicer 😏. But that didn't stop me from buying something anyway 😂. And what does a woman buy in FRANCE at the market? A handbag from Italy 🙈, but it's really beautiful 🥰.
Then I grabbed my book and sat by the water, exactly.
Thursday: Well, what can I say, I had to go to the beach again, tomorrow everything has to be washed and packed, so I won't have time anymore.
Even though you always imagine it to be beautiful on the beach and are always envied by everyone, you forget too quickly how much effort a day at the beach is. Even though it's the end of September, the sun is still very strong, so sunscreen is necessary. This is where the first stress begins, sunscreen and sand, the exfoliating combo. Then apply sunscreen to your back, which can be quite awkward and not entirely safe. Okay, now it's too hot, let's go into the water. After that, it's clear what awaits you, the whole process starts again. So, I don't really need to be envied.
Friday: As already announced, washing and packing.
But there is still time for a little stroll and a visit to the fishing quarter Pointe courte. I think there are more cats than people living in this neighborhood, at least I encountered a lot more cats.
On Saturday, it's time for a change of location again. My plans have changed a bit, and Paris is being prioritized.
