Changeable

Since the sun quickly heated up the house, we had breakfast outside today. It remained a pleasant 17 degrees after yesterday's 24.

Since there were still 2 fish in the fridge, another activity had to be found. Monique went to a small store with the children. A 45-minute walk was planned. However, after 5 minutes, it suddenly started to rain and the group did not have rain jackets, so I picked them up by car. The store was similar to the one on Unst. It had everything you could need: food, books, clothing, tools, etc. One must be careful not to buy unnecessary things. In addition to more fishing gear and some food, a few locally baked treats were also packed.

After that, the owner, who spoke German well (which is rather rare here, except for 80% of tourists), also sent us to the old store across the street. There was more interesting and mostly very old stuff to see. Records, cassettes, buttons, ropes - like a museum but everything was for sale.

We then continued on a mini hike to a lookout point. It was very windy there, and I was worried that Emil would be blown off the rocks. The view was great though, and there were baked goods from the store at the top.

Back at the house, the fish was cooked and consumed. This time prepared in the oven, it tasted better.

So the children could go fishing again, which they did until they had enough of the heavy rain storm.
