Since thunderstorms were forecasted for this afternoon, I left as early as possible and took as few longer breaks as possible. Once again, I neglected the check-in time.
The route today also went "across". So most of the time on a lightly traveled country road. At the beginning, this was certainly due to the fact that the highway ran right next to it. I also briefly followed the "Canal de la Marne au Rhin". According to the map, I followed a stream called "La Barboure" for about 11 km, but I didn't see it.
As predicted, it had hardly cooled down and the sun was already heating up around 8:00 a.m. Luckily, there were a few shaded sections. Around noon, the clouds slowly came together. Then it also rained a bit. But even then, I was lucky and didn't get much of it.
When I arrived at the overnight location, I encountered Jeanne d'Arc again. She is from this area.
