Koh Phangan, Thailand

Koh Phangan is known as the party island of Thailand, because of its monthly Full Moon parties. A few days before and after, the entire island is filled with drunk tourists and the prices for accommodation double. Fortunately, we weren't there during these days.

Otherwise, the island has great beaches (many of them practically empty), bars and restaurants to offer.

We found great bungalows right by the sea with a 'private beach'... and all this for about 20 Swiss francs per night.

At the daily night market, we tried the classic... worms and grasshoppers. But in Switzerland, it's nothing special anymore. Can be bought in any Coop or Migros. ;)

Next stop: Koh Tao. This was my favorite island in Thailand so far... let's see if it still is.
