We slowly move home. It's good that the Harz is on our way home. We like to be here often. This time we are heading to the World Forest. A great project with trees from all continents. Unfortunately, my knee prevents me from hiking further. It's too steep downhill and uphill. But the short hike also impressed us.
We then found a quiet parking space at the Clausthal-Zillerfeld shaft and slept excellently.
The next morning was freezing cold, almost 6 degrees Celsius. So first cuddle a bit and then drive on to the Oderteich after breakfast. We have heard and read a lot about it and everything has its place. It feels like you're on a lake in Scandinavia. The Oderteich used to be the largest reservoir in the Harz. There is now a 4.5km long circular hiking trail that leads around. There are bathing areas on both banks and of course the obligatory stamping point for the Harz hiking pin.
