The first tour after the ferry was sunny and 4 degrees Celsius and went to the northeast, to the Elf King. Paying homage. He resides under a mountain in Bakkagerði. There is also a café there, Álfacafé, in his honor. I dressed more appropriately for the temperature there and had delicious goulash soup. I can only recommend this place.

I also discovered the first turf house of this trip there.

After this welcome round, it was time for supplies: refilling, withdrawing money, and buying some food. Some of my accommodations are located outside of towns and don't always offer breakfast. And then, it was time for the first gravel road. Hm. I could only go at 35 km/h in some sections. It doesn't matter, as long as I arrive. The first accommodation is a horse farm in the bird sanctuary Húsey. It's located very quietly and looks like Villa Villekulla.

There I find peace, chat a little with the other guests, and have a good night without any sea motion 😉
