Perth & Cottesloe

From the Great Barrier Reef, we headed to the west coast of Australia. It was a 10-hour flight with a stopover. I didn't like Perth much, so I only stayed there for 2 days. It's just a big city with a few skyscrapers and it's okay for shopping. I didn't find anything worth seeing there, and I found the people there a bit unfriendly. The only thing I found nice was Kings Park with its botanical garden, but that was it. Even the zoo is not good. I don't really like zoos, but I really wanted to see some koalas up close. The zoo there had only one koala! Just one!

Maybe the city is cool to live in, but I didn't find it great for tourists to visit.

So I moved on to Cottesloe. It's only a 20-minute train ride. It was soooo beautiful there. I planned to stay for only one night, but ended up staying for 3 nights. The hostel was right by the beach. Although I got really sunburnt here for the first time, it didn't matter. The sun is really intense here. Even those who never get sunburned got burnt here. Those who are already tan still apply a lot of sunscreen.
In Cottesloe, I really relaxed and didn't just walk around all the time :)
