Good Morning,
here are the final lines about our hiking trip through one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland.
Susi and I are currently on the return flight from Glasgow to Leipzig, for the past 10 minutes. After crossing the finish line in Inverness on Monday, we took the opportunity to process all the impressions, give our bodies some rest after many kilometers of hiking, and also enjoy the final hours of our vacation.
On Tuesday, we explored Inverness a bit, secured the final picture of the Great Glen Way, and took some time to sort ourselves out. On Wednesday morning, we took the train back to Glasgow, which took 3.5 hours. A ride on the Scotrail train is very pleasant and a good opportunity to enjoy the country without our own physical effort.
Lots of green areas, rivers, mountains, and a contented wildlife (sheep, cows, horses) were nice to see. It became more populated as we traveled, and we reached Glasgow Queen Street around 1 pm. So, we were back here, where everything started on July 29th, 2022. We used the remaining time until the return flight to shop for a few small things for our family, but also to visit the Riverside Museum. Our son gave us this tip, and it was well worth it. The museum showcases vehicles of all kinds from the past 200 years, impressively combined with the everyday life of the respective time period. So, if you ever have the opportunity to be here, it is highly recommended. Right at one of the entrances, you can also inspect a large ship. It's very exciting to see how life was on board during its time.
We spent yesterday evening comfortably in a pub before starting our journey back today.

Spending quality time together in a beautiful country was a very good decision. Being self-determined, acknowledging physical limits, acting mindfully, spontaneously, and often courageously made this experience unique once again.

We would like to thank everyone who followed our journey from afar. We hope you enjoyed being a part of it, and perhaps the wanderlust was ignited as well. You can see the entire route in the last picture.

The brave Koes (Scottish the Brave Koes) say

Cheers and enjoy your life
