... are wet💦. Just like on our first trip, Scotland welcomed us on our first hiking day with rain. Contrary to the weather forecast, we had to dig out our rain protection quite early on and it became uncomfortable.
Last resort: the Glengoyne - Distillery, where we could get ourselves warm drinks🥃🤫. After that, the rain subsided and we reached our destination campsite after 18 km. We could set up and make ourselves comfortable in the sunshine.
Full of energy, we then went to Drymen, which is only 2 km away. There, the oldest pub in Scotland, 'Clachan Inn', is located. We only wanted to have a beer, but we ended up at a table with ladies who wanted to watch the final of the Women's Football European Championship between Germany and England. They were very excited that we joined their table😅.
Unfortunately, England won in the end. But it was cool in the pub.
Now we are lying in the evening sun in front of our tent and mentally preparing for 25 km tomorrow. Elevation difference 700 m, we'll see.
Today's motto for our starting picture: never stop, it could still take a long time to reach the goal.
