The quirky bird Luiz

This morning the alarm clock rang at 6 o'clock. We had booked a trip on Aida. Discover Lanzarote by jeep. The six of us were allowed to squeeze into a jeep, and I got the best seat as I sat in the passenger seat. Our driver, Luiz, was really a strange bird. On the way, he barked at dogs, encouraged cyclists to go faster, and fed donkeys with bananas, just to name a few things. But during the drive, we learned a lot about the island and saw a lot as well. We visited the small village of Nazareth, Omar Sharif's house, the beach, Timanfaya National Park, and drove through sweet potato plantations and vineyards. It hadn't rained for four months, but it started raining inland in the afternoon. Back on the ship, the sun was shining on our faces again.
