The coronavirus has also arrived in Australia!🦠 Although the number of positive cases has not risen as rapidly as in Europe, there are now 4,200 coronavirus patients and 18 deaths here. Rules are being tightened gradually to prevent further spread. Recently, no more than two people are allowed to meet with each other. Despite the many prohibitions and restrictions, surprisingly many Australians are still out and about. Unfortunately, overall, there is a subdued atmosphere.
Since beaches, (national) parks, and restaurants are currently closed, there isn't much to do. That's why I've been riding my bike a lot and exploring the area on my own during the past few days. Brisbane has beautiful parks (which are fortunately still open). Everything is well maintained and there is a variety of exotic plants and animals to discover. I have already found some geocaches🐾🌲 and met two Swiss people in the process. That was also very exciting!
Well, at the moment, it just takes a bit of patience until everything returns to normal. I hope for an improvement of the situation soon and will keep you updated!😉
