For our first major trip in Sweden, we follow in the footsteps of Astrid Lindgren and first visit Bullerbü. The village of Sevedstorp served as the filming location for the movies 'We Children from Bullerbyn'. In addition, Astrid Lindgren's father grew up in the small village. Today, people live privately with their families in the houses. A small cafe in the middle of the village invites you to linger. A few kilometers away is the small 'place' Katthult - actually Rumskulla. The Katthult farm served as a backdrop for 'Michel from Lönneberga'. You can visit the grounds and also see some buildings, such as the shed where Michel was locked up and then carved figures. Afterwards, we go to Vimmerby. In Vimmerby, we visit Astrid Lindgren's birthplace as well as the huge artistically designed garden and several exhibitions.
