This morning we docked in Roatan. This is one of three offshore islands of Honduras. It is about 77 km long and 8 km wide. Since the cruise is not planned as an active vacation, we got up a little later. Unfortunately, the serviced restaurants were already closed, so we settled for the buffet battle. It is a new experience for us to see Americans devouring food in the morning. Afterwards, we explored the nearby area on our own. Nearby, you could be transported to a hill and return to the starting point below on various slip lines. Then we went back to the ship to get some sunshine, passing through the souvenir shops at the dock. Particularly on this Christmas Day, the Americans could already pick up gifts from Santa Claus starting at 7 o'clock in the morning. In the evening, we watched the Christmas show first. The atmosphere was like at Oktoberfest for us. For dinner, we checked in at a restaurant and then spent the waiting time at the bar with a pager that reminded us when a table was available. Since Andi wanted to order a "43" yesterday and they didn't have it, the bartender offered it to us tonight before dinner. We ended the evening with Filet Wellington and a nightcap or two.
