I am not a 100% yet but I am feeling better. In the morning I packed the last few things that were left and said goodbye to all the dogs.
However marshall and nobel were a bit more interested in the lady dogs that were running around outside than in me, but thats fine. I can respect that.
We left shortly after lunch, it was me with the 3 current guests and the 2 newest volunteers. We said goodbye to everyone, loaded in the luggage and started our way back.
That was after Konstantin had to quickly fix the car because it wasn't starting. But then we were ready to go.
I had a good time here, I was surprised that there really wasn't a single dog that you had to be worried about biting you. No dog that you weren't allowed to pet or had to be careful with. They really are all amazingly trained.
And I also think I got quite lucky with the current volunteers and the guests, except the confused one's of course, that were staying during my time. We had a fun group and quickly learned to work together with never really any problems.
There was more focus on the guests and kind of the 'business' aspect of the project than I first expected. But it makes sense of course since that is what they do at white horizon.
If I were to return to the husky farm, I would probably do so as a guest to get more chances at driving the dog sleds and maybe even do an overnight tour.
I was the last to be dropped off and made my way to the hotel that I booked. Which confused me a bit at first because it was a gym. As it turns out it was a gym with rooms, so you could go to the gym for free if you stayed here.
Also the rooms had no numbers but names. My room on the key was called 'Abberummet' but the actual room was called 'abbes rum' which is quite a difference if I may say so.
So yeah it took me a while of walking around stupidly before I tried my key on abbes rum. Which is apparently the room of a little Chihuahua.
Not sure why they gave me this room.
I walked around for a while just to explore and bought a few things for breakfast and lunch tomorrow.
I also found the bus stop for the airport shuttle bus, before I went to a steakhouse for dinner.
The menu card wasn't in english so I just ordered the thing that had the word 'ribs' in it. Which seemed to be the entire set of meats that they have to offer here and also some ribs.
I ended the day with a short stop at a nearby boardgame shop and went back to the hotel.
Since I am very tired I wont be using the free gym membership today. Maybe another time.
