Dublin with Bulli chaos!

A bɔra kɛnɛ kan: 20.09.2023

We have a van, but that's sometimes a bit of a problem in Ireland.

It's the height that's so funny here, because the height restrictions at parking lots, attractions or just at the park are often too low for a normal van. We've never actually had these restrictions before, but now they're part of the preparations.

I would never drive into a city if there was another way, there are P+R parking spaces in Dublin, BUT we have our two black slobbery noses, so you should be able to walk quickly to the car, or maybe even one You can plan a walk around the city.

We had already read in our travel guide that the city is a nightmare with one-way streets and a lack of parking, but a website was also mentioned that can help. We tested this straight away, entered the height of the Labrabulli, and thus reduced the search to 3 parking garages, because all the others were not high enough. We checked out all of these three houses and involuntarily completed a real sightseeing tour, only to discover that NO parking garage actually offers a height of 2 m, 1.95 is just not enough.

So we looked for a parking space in the yellow zone, bought half of Dublin for 3 hours of parking, moved the car so that we could then go to our exhibition, bought half of Dublin again and then stood out of the city for a long time because here is mostly traffic jams. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to go to Dublin on a Saturday.

Trinity College was worth it with the Book of Kells, we only looked at the rest from the outside, because Dublin is a shopping city, it was too much for me, I prefer to be in the forest. Unfortunately, there isn't much of the old town left, but it's certainly quite nice what Dublin has to offer if you like traveling around cities.

If the problem with parking hadn't cropped up, I would have liked to have looked at it more, but that was sorted out for €10.50 for 3 hours.
